About Eastlake Trails

Eastlake Trails is one of several communities in the Eastlake region of Chula Vista, California. This subdivision is located close to the southeastern region of the local golf club.

The Chula Vista Elementary School District offers highly rated facilities like Arroyo Vista Elementary. The Sweetwater Union High School District is in charge of the older grades with excellent schools such as Eastlake Middle, and Eastlake High. There are many private facilities to choose from including St. Rose of Lima School, Saint John’s Episcopal School, Mater Dei Catholic High School, and Lutheran High School of San Diego. The county offers several private colleges, and Southwestern College is nearby.

The Eastlake Country Club features a Ted Robinson designed course. The 18-hole championship course has a par 72 as well as four sets of tees and 72 sand traps. This club is known for its six lakes and almost 1,000 trees. Many tournaments are held here and there are facilities for weddings and other special events.

There are many shopping centers throughout Chula Vista. Nearby you will find the Otay Ranch Center which features a movie theater, weekly farmers market, and many retail stores. Residents of Eastlake have access to the Clubhouse at the Woods and Creekside Park which feature a swimming pool, restroom facilities, and entertainment patio. There is a two-acre pond stocked with fish as well as hiking trails. This community is also close to the Chula Vista Community Park and the Salt Lake Community Park as well as the Lower Otay Reservoir which is where the United States Olympic Rowing Team trains.

Chula Vista is Southern California’s seventh largest city and the second largest in the San Diego area. Its economy relies on tourism and the city offers many shopping, cinema, and dining experiences. Notable venues include the Chula Vista Marina, the U.S. Olympic Training Center, and the Sleep Train Amphitheater. The Nature Center features exhibits of insects, rays, sharks, birds of prey, and water birds.
